With the Jesmonite Retarder, you can spend more time achieving that exact colour you were going for, or focus on the thorough mixing of your liquid and powder to eliminate air bubbles and powder clusters. It’s also great for more complex projects such as split pieces, where you might need to mix two separate colours that have to be poured at the same time. So, kick back, chill out and enjoy the process!

A little really does go a long way with Jesmonite’s Retarder. You literally only need to add 0.02% – 0.1% of your overall mix to slow down your set time, but bear in mind that the retarder will also slow down your set time when your Jesmonite is in the mould. This means you’ll need to leave your piece in the mould a little longer than usual for it to fully set.
